Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Yesterday was my 35th birthday. I am not sure how I feel about that number, but I guess I will get used to it. I had a great day! Chris did his best to make it a perfect day!! My parents, grandmother, and Aunt Lorita came to help us celebrate. Chris made steaks and twice baked potatoes for dinner and homemade cake and ice cream for dessert. They were all sooo good, but the best part was Chris did all the clean-up too!!!

Lake Livingston 2009

We went to Lake Livingston this past weekend for the Sandlin Family Reunion. Carol and Cecil were the wonderful hosts. They have a beautiful house right on Lake Livingston. We had a weekend of lake activities. We went fishing, swimming, boating, inner tubing behind the boat, swinging on a rope off the pier, ate lots and lots of good food, sang karaoke, and visited with lots of fun people. I guess it goes without saying we had a BLAST!!! It is such fun to see the kids experience new things and to have such a good time!

Daddy even got a Spongebob sticker in his card to wear all day that said, "Best Dad on Land or Sea, Aye Aye!" Perfectly said!

Local Celebrity

Luke made it in the paper this weekend. He is pictured with his buddy, Cole. They attended Vacation Bible School this past week at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, and the paper was there taking pictures. We were very excited for him to get his picture and name in the paper!

Rachel Turned Eight

On June fourth our precious BIG girl turned EIGHT years old!! It is really hard to believe how fast she is growing up!! On her actual birthday we were on vacation in Dallas. We went to the zoo for her big day and then had a little party after dinner at Aunt Cara and Uncle Beaubie house. She then had a second birthday party in Snyder on June thirteenth. That will explain the two birthday cakes in the pictures below. We planned Rachel's birthday party at the Elementary school playground in Snyder, but we had to move the party to my parent's house after about 15 minutes to avoid a storm. We had a great time seeing everybody and appreciate all the wonderful gifts. Thank you so much!!
