Cousins + Leaves = Fall Fun

This past weekend we finally got all six of the Stansell grandbabies together. It has been four months since we had all been together! It was about time we got to see Cara, Beau and little Ian. While we were there we decided to get the kids outside to play in the leaves and take some Fall pictures. The kids had a great time, and we got some really cute pictures too!!

I love this picture...I just wish Kate would have been there too.

Almost As Long As The Couch

This is what Kindergarten does to your babies. It wears them out and they fall asleep around 8:30pm each evening, even on the weekends! This is quite a change for Luke. He used to be the last one up at night and the first one up in the mornings. I also think he has grown a couple of inches since he started to school in August. He is almost as long as the couch! It amazes me how kids seem to grow and change all of a sudden. I am blaming it on Kindergarten!

Trick-or-Treating

This year we went Trick-or-Treating twice. On Friday we went with Kate's preschool at the college. Memaw Linda joined us again this year. We always have fun at the preschool Trick-or-Treat. We get to see all the kids dressed in their costumes and get lots and lots of candy!

Kate's pumpkin got real heavy, but she would not let anybody help her carry it. That candy was all hers!!!

Trick-or-treating around the neighborhood was a blast for the kids! There were lots of kids out again this year. Kate really got the hang of trick-or-treating. She would not say trick-or-treat but she would say thank you! Luke and Rachel enjoyed handing out the candy at the house after we had finished about as much as getting the candy themselves. It was a mad rush to the door every time the bell would ring!

Pumpkin Carving

Carving the Pumpkin was a lot of fun this year....all the kids helped! I just love the faces....

This is the finished product. The kids decided to have witch hats as the eyes, a ghost for the nose, and a bat as the mouth. I thought it turned out pretty good!!! (we got the idea off the internet)

Pumpkin Patch Pictures!!!

This past weekend we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. You never know who you will run into at the pumpkin patch. This year we saw Tinkerbell, Mario from the Nintendo video games, and Daphne from the Scooby Doo Gang.

This particular Tinkerbell did not want to wear her wings. She took them off every time we put them on. We have nicknamed her "Stinkerbell". I guess she will not be flying very far.

A Milestone

One of the first entries I made to this blog was of Rachel riding her bike for the first time without training wheels. Well today is Luke's turn. I am very proud to say Luke can ride a bicycle without training wheels!!!!

It took him two days practicing after school and lots of tears. He was pretty excited once he got the hang of it!! Now that he knows how to ride the bike he really needs to learn to STOP!!! I guess that is our next lesson. It is so rewarding for your kids to learn new skills especially after you work so hard to help them learn how. We are very proud of you Luke!!!
