Thanksgiving Day 2009

We were in Snyder Thanksgiving Day. The Stirling family got together at my Aunt Lorita's house. We had a great meal and a great time! I tried to get a picture of all of my Grandmother's great grandkids that were there.

Hailey - Hard to believe she is already a teenager!

Zeke - This is just the sweetest little boy ever.

Jacob and Luke - They were inseparable the entire day. I was neat to see them play so well with each other.

I have received some flack over Kate's Santa picture...."Poor Baby Kate". First, she has the same reaction when I put her in a grocery cart. Second, after she had her cookie, candy cane, and hot chocolate they were serving at the store she happily waved bye bye to Santa grinning from ear to ear. I don't think she was permanently scarred.

Cousins + Leaves = Fall Fun

This past weekend we finally got all six of the Stansell grandbabies together. It has been four months since we had all been together! It was about time we got to see Cara, Beau and little Ian. While we were there we decided to get the kids outside to play in the leaves and take some Fall pictures. The kids had a great time, and we got some really cute pictures too!!

I love this picture...I just wish Kate would have been there too.

Almost As Long As The Couch

This is what Kindergarten does to your babies. It wears them out and they fall asleep around 8:30pm each evening, even on the weekends! This is quite a change for Luke. He used to be the last one up at night and the first one up in the mornings. I also think he has grown a couple of inches since he started to school in August. He is almost as long as the couch! It amazes me how kids seem to grow and change all of a sudden. I am blaming it on Kindergarten!

Trick-or-Treating

This year we went Trick-or-Treating twice. On Friday we went with Kate's preschool at the college. Memaw Linda joined us again this year. We always have fun at the preschool Trick-or-Treat. We get to see all the kids dressed in their costumes and get lots and lots of candy!

Kate's pumpkin got real heavy, but she would not let anybody help her carry it. That candy was all hers!!!

Trick-or-treating around the neighborhood was a blast for the kids! There were lots of kids out again this year. Kate really got the hang of trick-or-treating. She would not say trick-or-treat but she would say thank you! Luke and Rachel enjoyed handing out the candy at the house after we had finished about as much as getting the candy themselves. It was a mad rush to the door every time the bell would ring!

Pumpkin Carving

Carving the Pumpkin was a lot of fun this year....all the kids helped! I just love the faces....

Kate was saying Eeewww GROSS when I snapped this one...

This is the finished product. The kids decided to have witch hats as the eyes, a ghost for the nose, and a bat as the mouth. I thought it turned out pretty good!!! (we got the idea off the internet)
