Spaghetti Dinner

I turned Wade loose on his chicken parmesan and spaghetti at dinner yesterday. He LOVED it!! He had two helpings of spaghetti. I think he ate more than the big kids did.

We have had the best day!! Wade celebrated his birthday with lunch at Rosa's, cake, and presents. Memaw Linda and Granddad Bob even came to help us celebrate!

Happy First Birthday Baby Wade!!!!

Well today is a big day!! Our baby boy is turning ONE YEAR OLD!! I was hoping today would not come. He seems so much older today than he did yesterday.

We have had a great time this past year getting to watch our red headed boy grow. He is a happy little guy with the cutest chipmunk smile!! It has been a whole year and we still can't get over his red hair and the dimple in his chin!! We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!!!
At one year old, Wades favorites include unloading the silverware from the dishwasher, turning the dryer light on and off, playing in the toilet whenever somebody leaves the lid up for him, taking baths, listening to you sing "Jesus Loves Me" to him, laughing at his very funny older siblings, knocking down stacked blocks, watching ceiling fans, closing doors, turning wheels, brushing his own teeth, his blanket, and drinking his milk from a bottle.

Wade has sixteen teeth now. He has moved on from baby food to table food. He is not much of a vegetable eater, but he loves his carbs. He is refusing to drink from a cup most days.

He is sleeping better than ever!!! He has been taking three hour naps!!! He is down to one good nap a day now!! It has been great!! He is also going down at night without any arguments!!

He can stand, but has not tried taking any steps yet. We are not really expecting any walking for a few more months.

I think he will LOVE his birthday cake!!! We are very excited to see him get to eat his cake!!!

One Year Ago Today We Were Getting Ready For This....

I can't believe our baby is turning ONE tomorrow!! It is not fair...they just don't stay little long enough.

Barney's Birthday Bash!!

As one of Kate's birthday presents, I took her to see Barney Live. The timing was perfect for Barney to come to Odessa. And the show was even appropriately named Barney's Birthday Bash!! It was just meant to be!!

We headed first to the souvenir stand. She picked a star wand as her prize. She also got a balloon and bag before we left. She came out like a little bandit!
We were waiting for the show to start. The 20 minute wait was torture for this little girl! She wanted to SEE Barney! This is a photo from my phone...not the best quality.

Kate danced and smiled through the whole show!! I had the best time just watching her!! We took Luke and Rachel for Luke's second birthday. The show was completely different, but the smiles and excitement were the same!! It was just a great night with my little girl!! She wants to go see him again today and tomorrow like we did yesterday.
