Meeting Another New Cousin

Chris's sister, Cara, and her husband, Beau, had a new baby boy this past Friday!! Baby Tye Matthew was born on February 17, 2012. He weighed 7lbs and 15oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.

Our kids were super excited to meet their new little cousin. They are becoming pros at holding newborns.

This little guy is so tiny compared to his big brothers. I know his momma is going to enjoy having a tiny baby to snuggle with.

Tye is such a sweet baby. He is just perfect!! We already love him so much. We were so glad we got to make this special trip to Dallas to meet our new little nephew.

Meeting a New Cousin

One week ago today we welcomed a new cousin to our family. Let me introduce you to Madison Gail. She was born February 4, 2012 and weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces and 21 1/2 inches. What a big girl!! She is such a pretty baby and a wonderful blessing!!

Chris's baby brother, Aaron, and his wife, Johnnie, have a new baby girl!!!

We had all about decided she would never be born. She was two and a half weeks late!!! That might explain the nine pounds....poor mama! Rachel would ask each morning if Johnnie had had the baby. We were all so excited to finally meet her and hold her.

I think it is so sweet the way Wade is looking at her.

Our kids just love babies!!! They have all voted and think we need another one. Thank you very much Aunt Johnnie!! Luke has said numerous times that he wished Madison was his sister. Rachel and Kate have both asked if I could have another baby. Chris has had baby fever since we had Wade. My vote is NOOOOO, and I am pretty sure Wade would vote with me too. And I of course have the biggest vote!!

This brings the Stansell grandbaby count to TEN...for just two weeks until Aunt Cara has her new baby!!!

Congratulations Johnnie and Aaron!!! Madison is just beautiful and we already love her so much!!

Wade is 18 Months Old!!

A year and a half and such a big boy!!

At 18 months some of Wade's favorites are outside, going for walks, running, baths, doing what the big kids are doing, and snacks.

Wade has not really started talking yet. He can say words but does not really use them to communicate which is really frustrating. I think he is really being stubborn. I know he understands us when we talk to him. He will say words a few times and then refuse to say them anymore. I know he will come around....just wish he would hurry.

Meal times can be a real challenge. He only eats a few things. He eats macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and honey sandwiches, grapes, mandarin oranges, strawberries, apples, cereal bars, waffles, goldfish, graham crackers, cookies, and about any other sugary treat....no veggies. That is it. I feel like he eats an awful diet but at least he does eat what he likes. I was sneaking peas in the macaroni but he caught on to that pretty quick.

The last few months have been pretty tough. Wade has had diarrhea for a couple of months now. He is still on medicine to get rid of his c diff. We are really hoping this new medicine will work. Wade hates to have his diaper changed. This makes for a difficult time changing multiple dirty diapers a day for sure. He does a lot of screaming partially because he is mad but I think sometimes his stomach is just hurting. His little temper has really come out this past few months too. Everything they say about redheads we have found to be true.

Getting pictures of Wade is pretty hard these days. He is constantly on the move and refuses to look at the camera. I did not really get a good picture of him smiling...maybe I will get lucky soon.

Basketball and Gymnastics

Basketball and Gymnastics is what takes up a good chunk of our evenings and weekends, along with church and Awanas.

This is Rachel's third year to play Upward Basketball. She really loves playing. On a side note all of her games are at 8:30am on Saturday mornings. That means I have to have everybody ready and at the gym by at least 8:15am. That is really hard for me, but we have made it on time each week...so far.

This is Luke's second year to play. He would like it better if he just got to shoot baskets and be silly with his teammates.

Kate takes gymnastics on Wednesdays. She just loves gymnastics!!! She loves Wednesdays because it is gymnastics day!!! If you know Kate she loves just about everything. That is what I love about Kate!!!

On an 80 Degree Day in January....

We went to the duck pond to feed the ducks....and there were lots of hungry ducks to be fed!!!

Wade really liked to watch them.

The weather was so pretty.
Kate threw the bread, and Wade just watched...he did not want to throw any bread today.

Where Did This Big Boy Come From??

Who took may baby and replaced him with this big boy? Mister Wade have really turned into a big boy here all or a sudden.

He LOVES to play outside!!!
His car is his favorite outside toy.
Watching the big kids jump on the trampoline.
Climbing the ladder to the slide.
Somebody else playing in Wade's car.
They both managed to fit at the same time...but it was really tight.
The slide is lots of fun too!! He still needs a little help going down.
