I have been looking through the pictures on my phone. Many of them have the same theme...sleeping kids.

How many kids do you count?

Here is a different view. That is right I woke up to all four kids in my bed. All I can say is I did not even notice they were all there. Rachel surprised me.

I woke up with three of them this morning and about six inches of room for me to sleep on.

Wade was sick this day. I was putting laundry away. I came to put the baskets up and this is what I found. I felt so bad for him. This particular morning/day he took a 5 hour nap. Poor baby.

My Mother's Day Gifts

Chris asked for some honorable mention on the "Old Blog", what he calls the blog, for all the Mother's Day gifts he got me this year. Unfortunately for me, we had to make some big purchases in less than a weeks time. Chris thinks this is both funny and convenient. He knew exactly what I needed for Mother's Day this year!!

Last Saturday our hand-me-down washer went up in smoke...literally. The smell in our laundry room and house was awful!! Aunt Junie gave us her washer and dryer when we got married. We are not sure how old they were when we got them, but they have served us well over the last 14 1/2 years. I got to go pick out a brand new set this past Monday. They were delivered on Friday. Aren' they pretty? Red happens to be my favorite color!! The salesman told me the color red was supposed to give you energy. I don't know about that but I could use all the help I can get!! Chris threw in the flowers because he is just really sweet and thoughtful like that.

If a new washer and dryer was not enough, I also received four of these babies. I am a lucky girl!!

We had to drive Chris's car for the day while they got my tires put on the car. Wade was very irritated he could not watch Barney while we ran our errands. He kept pointing at the light on the ceiling confused. Poor kid is so spoiled.

I can't say I am too excited about my new tires and washer and dryer, but I am very glad I have them. Talk about bad timing!!

Rachel's Piano Recital

Rachel had a piano recital a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to share so everybody can see how far she has come. We are so proud of her!!

21 Months

Wade couldn't be happier about turning 21 months....

because now he can do things like ride a tricycle, open doors, lock and unlock doors,

and get crazy on the trampoline with his brother and sisters,

but the swings are the most fun!!

I tried to get a few good pictures of Wade yesterday to mark his 21 month birthday. He decided to be stubborn and not smile. He mostly refused to look at the camera. I did get a few of him looking with the help of a whistle.

Wade's hair has really started to grow....and curl! He has even had his first hair cut.

Wade's favorited activities include opening and shutting doors, turning the light switch on and off, climbing to great heights, opening and closing the dog cages, opening and slamming the cabinet doors, eating frozen waffles out of the freezer (still frozen), and being outside.

Wade has started saying some words and communicating better. I DO NOT miss the screaming AT ALL.  Some days I thought my ears would bleed from all the screaming. It was bad and very high pitched. He can say Mama, Daddy, doggie, dixie, bubble, ball, waffle, cookie, cracker, cheese, apple, get out, here you go, stop it, car, thank you, book, hi, and his favorite word bye. He has started leading you by the hand to show you what he wants.

He has been sleeping lots better too. He is making it through the night in his crib most nights and going down for a nap without much fuss. I guess he is growing.

His eating habits are not much better. His favorites are peanut butter and honey sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, bean and cheese burritos, raisins, and string cheese. What can I say the kid loves cheese. Baked goods are pretty high on the list too....as long as they have sugar. He does eat fruit pretty good but refuses to eat any vegetables. Most days he really does not eat much. We wonder how he weighs as much as he does.

Last time we checked he weighed 27 1/2 pounds.

His eye lashes are exceptionally long too.

Wade is growing, changing, and learning everyday. He keeps me very busy and tired. I sure do love this little redheaded boy of mine!!

Preschool Graduation

Today was Midland College's Annual Spring Program and Graduation. We have counted and we have attended for the last nine years! It is always so much fun to see the kids perform their songs and play the games. This year the theme was "The Circus". Kate's class were the lions in the circus.

So cute...I love her smile!!

One of the most popular games was the dunking booth. Mr. Chris was the only one not burning up...pretty smart guy.

Sadly, this is our last month at Midland College. We have been going since Rachel was 2 years old. They are not taking part time kids anymore so Wade has to go somewhere else.:0(

Luke's Big Weekend

Luke's big day started with cinnamon rolls...yum!!

He played his last soccer game of the season. Unfortunately, they lost the game.

He came home and showered and got ready to open presents....he could hardly wait!!

Aunt Johnnie brought Tenley, Miles, Sydney, and Madison over to help us celebrate. Luke immediately wanted to hold Madison. He sure loves his baby cousin! Granny also came to celebrate with us.

Finally, it is present time!! Luke received Legos, a back pack, Cherished Teddy figure, pajamas, a Lego game, and MONEY!!

Oh yeah, and he got his bike!! He has been riding it non stop since. I just love that he loves his bike!!

Then Chris and Granny took all the big kids to the movie. Apparently the movie was really boring because Chris slept thru it and all the kids wanted to leave and come back to the house and play. But they finished the boring movie.

Luke had so much fun on his birthday he decided to make two days of it. We went to see Memaw Linda, Granddad Bob, Lorita, and Memaw Dena in Snyder to celebrate some more. Memaw even made him another cake...lucky kid!

More presents!! He got the new Chipmunks video and more money!

Granddad Bob took Luke for a ride around town in the Studebaker. He did not even have to wear a seat belt because there aren't any. :0) Luke had so much fun he asked to go for another ride and this time he let the girls ride too.
