Wade's Birthday

We had a little birthday party for Wade to celebrate our baby turning 2! Mama made him a cake. It is supposed to look like his little car he drives around in the backyard.

He got a motorcycle and Batman car from us. Daddy and Mama liked the motorcycle, and Wade picked out the Batman car.

I did not give him any of his cake on his birthday because I did not think he would eat it. He does not like icing or to get his hands messy. I gave him some the next day when he acted interested in the piece I was eating. He ate it and loved it.

Our little guy turned two whether we wanted him to or not! He had a big day!!

Two Years Old!!

Happy Birthday Wade!!!

I can hardly believe that Wade-o is TWO YEARS OLD!! 

Wade has the most intoxicating laugh and the worst temper ever. That is quite a combination!!

Wade loves anything with wheels, especially if you can ride on it or in it. He has many riding cars and may be getting a few more for his birthday. He is also obsessed with turning lights on and off. He has a little stool he carries around the house turning on all the lights and fans. He also loves to wear other peoples shoes...mostly Kate's. Hers are easy to get on and fit better than the rest of ours do. He tries to try on everybody's shoes at the swimming pool.

Wade loves to laugh and Luke is the funniest person in Wade's world...which is pretty scary!!! Wade idolizes his big brother. Kate is his comforter. When he gets in trouble or hurt she is the first to rush over and give him a hug. Rachel is his second mommy. She does a great job taking care of her baby brother.

Wade has a pretty good appetite for things he likes. Most of his likes contain sugar. He eats lots of fruits, no veggies except popcorn, lots of cheese, he has recently added hot dogs to his menu, cookies, nachos, crackers, cereal, peanut butter and honey sandwiches, waffles, pizza, popsicles, ice cream, and several other snack foods. 

 I am not sure of his weight but I guess it is around 30 pounds. He is 36 1/2 inches tall.

Wade stays busy playing outside and has taken a bigger interest in his toys recently. He has finally started warming up to playing in the swimming pool. He was pretty scared of the water at the beginning of the summer, but now he goes in and splashes around and plays in the baby part of the pool. He likes to jump in with your help and LOVES squirting the water guns.

Wade enjoys going for walks around the block. Sometimes he even drives around the block....he finally figured out how to steer his little car.

This little guy keeps us on our toes!! He is talking more and more. Mostly he is pretty demanding. He has a special way of getting what he wants. We love our baby boy who becomes a toddler today! :0)

Kate's Birthday

Kate woke up to sprinkled donuts for breakfast. Momma added a candle to hers.

Kate wanted to go bowling on her birthday. We invited Adam and Cole to come with us bowling.

Memaw Linda and Granddad Bob met us at the bowling alley for lunch.

This is Kate after a STRIKE!!! Kate actually beat everybody both games. She got a 98 and 89. I guess it really was her day!!

After bowling the kids actually went to our neighbors birthday party. She is Kate's little friend. Their birthday is on the same day and they are one year apart. She had her party at the movie theater. They got to watch Ice Age.

After the movie we rushed home for presents!

Her big present from us was a new bike. She does not need the training wheels. We quickly took them off.

I got a crazy thought to make Kate a pony cake. I was pretty proud of the results...it actually looked like a pony!! Oh and Kate liked it too!!

If bowling and a movie were not enough, I took the kids to play games at Chuck E Cheese. We actually went to eat dinner at The Texas Roadhouse, so we just played the video games. I like to take Wade there because he does not even need tokens to stay entertained with the games!

The basketball game is one of Kate's favorite.

It was a fun day for sure!! Momma was very tired at least!! We are glad Memaw Linda and Granddad Bob could come help us celebrate. Can't believe our little girl is FIVE and about to start school!!

Five Years Old

Happy Birthday Kate!!

Our sweet little girl is turning five years old today!! She gets to go to Kindergarten this year!!

Katybug is full of smiles!! She is happy most of the time and loves to give hugs!! She is always telling us she loves us!! 

 Along with all that sweetness she has a little spice to go with it. She just loves to pick on Luke and Rachel. Nothing makes her smile more than getting to her brother and sister!!

Kate makes a friend where ever she goes. She gravitates to the boys most of the time. She likes to play with Luke's friends best....I think this might be more to irritate Luke.

Some of Kate's favorite foods are tomatoes, carrots, blueberries, fruit cocktail, gummie bears, fruit snacks, sprite, and poptarts. Her favorite meal I cook is taco soup and chili. Kate is a good eater!! She likes her fruits and veggies but her favorite thing is candy.

Kate likes gymnastics, dancing, jumping on the trampoline, rollerskating, riding bikes, swimming, and water parks. Her new favorite thing is bowling. We are going bowling and to Chuck E. Cheese for her birthday.

At 5 years old Kate weighs 47 pounds and is 46 1/2 inches tall.

Kate you are so sweet and have such a special place in our family.  You show your love with your sweet smiles and warm hugs. We love you more than words can say.  Happy Birthday to you sweet baby!!!
