Lukie's Mother's Day Gift

I was greeted by Luke running thru the garage door yesterday after preschool with a handful of red carnations wrapped in tissue paper and a yarn bow. The smile on his face was priceless! He had also made me a gift and card. The gift was a picture of Luke with a painted tongue depressor frame. It is so cute, but he wants to keep it for himself. I am sure he will forget about it soon, and I can have it back. The card has made me smile since I got it. It is a handmade portrait of me complete with yellow yarn hair, and it says "I love my Mom because she makes me balls with silly putty." It goes to show you it is the little things that stand out to a 4 year old boy. I love him so much and my Mother's Day gift!!! Rachel was quick to tell me she will make me wait until Sunday for her gift. I am sure it will be just as touching as Luke's.
