We decided to stay at a hotel on our trip to see Baby Tye. A hotel with an indoor swimming pool to be more specific. This would give the kids something to do and was cheaper than going to an amusement park. Kate has been asking to go swimming a lot here lately. She got her wish this weekend!!
Wade was not too sure about getting in the pool. He went swimming several times last year, but it has been a while and I guess he forgot how much fun it was to go swimming. He sat in a chair or stood by the door for about the first hour refusing to come near the water. Every time I carried him in the water he would scream. Finally, he got close enough to the side I grabbed him and made him jump in...he was hooked from there!
He had fun in the water and jumping in was pretty cool too!!

Another BIG bonus about staying in the hotel is the free breakfast!!! Rachel loves the waffles, that just so happen to be in the shape of Texas!! The breakfast is probably Rachel and my favorite part of staying in a hotel. I always make sure they provide breakfast before we stay. We had the best weekend!! A new cousin, swimming, eating pizza, free breakfast....can't get much better than that!!!I have decided there is no reason to plan expensive family vacations. All you need to do is rent a hotel room and let the kids swim in the pool. They will have more fun and it is way less expensive.
