Jack-O-Lanterns

Yesterday was finally the day we carved our pumpkins! Kate and Wade have been asking when for the last two weeks. As you can see, we are down a few helpers this year. Rachel was in bed sick and Luke seems to be just too cool for carving pumpkins. We had fun without them, so there!

The icky insides. The kids are past all the grossed out faces by now. Wade even thinks it smells good.

I had to help with the clean out a little.

I turned Wade loose with the carving tools. He did it all by himself!! He only complained a little that his back and hand hurt toward the end.

I drew the face and he carved! He was proud of his work!

Kate wanted a Kitty Cat this year. We both worked on this one, but she did most of it herself.

The finished product.

Happy Jack

Kitty Cat

Linus

Linus looks better in person. The light does not shine through on the face an hair very good.

We had a good time carving our pumpkins. Just sad the bigger kids didn't participate. Maybe next year.
