What will my kids do next???

Over the last few weeks my kids have been taking turns doing silly things that have caused me and them (but mostly me) some embarrassment. Rachel started the game a few days before the Fourth of July. The kids were told to brush their teeth before bed. I had bought them all tooth brushes with little suction cups on the end of them that you are supposed to use to store them standing up on the counter. Well Rachel decided to suction hers to her forehead. Apparently, the little suction cups were pretty good because she had a hickey on her forehead for a few days. Made for some lovely Fourth of July pictures!

Kate was next. This past Saturday Rachel had been coloring with markers during nap time at the kitchen counter. After Kate got up she very quietly got one of the markers off the counter and colored her feet with it. Apparently she did not get a hold of one of the many washable markers we have because she still had bright purple feet after I tried to wash them off. We were headed to the swimming pool. It is pretty hard to hide bright purple feet at the swimming pool! The chlorine in the water only brought the color down a shade. She had to wear socks with her sandals to church on Sunday. Her feet are normal color now, thank goodness! I did not get a picture of the purple feet, but I do have a picture of her feet in her new favorite pair of shoes. They make a great sound when she walks on the tile!
Isn't she cute with this big smile on her face? She even looks a little mischievous in this picture.

Not to be out done by his sisters, Luke swallowed a quarter yesterday. He almost got more than he could swallow because the quarter got hung up going down and caused him a little discomfort for about thirty minutes or so. He was breathing fine, so I did not get too excited. I called the doctor, but they were out to lunch. I told him to go ahead and eat his lunch. The food must have pushed it on down because he quit complaining it was hurting. When I got a hold of the doctor they said he needed a chest x-ray to make sure it went into his stomach because sometimes it can move to where they can't feel it. He was x-rayed and the quarter is indeed in his stomach. We are just waiting for it to pass. I guess you can say he has something to look forward to now! Here is a picture of our "Little Monster" just being his silly little self.

Life is never boring around our house! ! It keeps me on my toes!!
