Wade's First Week of School

Wade started Children's Day Out this week. He goes on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30-2:30. I was so worried about how he would react to being left. He always cries when we leave him at Church, and most times he is crying when we pick him up. He also does not willingly go to people other than me and Chris. I had been really praying that this would not be too hard on either of us. Well, Mr. Wade completely surprised me. He did not cry either day this week, and he has had good days at school. I feel so bad because so many of the other kids are crying when I drop him off. I know he is thinking WHAT IN THE WORLD, but he just sits and looks around taking it all in. He has eaten and napped well both days. I could not be happier with how he has adjusted!

I am not complaining, but I had my days while Wade and Kate are at school pictured much differently than they have been. I thought I would come home and sit in a chair, pet the dogs, watch TV and nap. Well, I feel like somebody starts a stop watch as soon as I drop the kids off, and I am running a race until "times up" at 2:30. It is like I need to see how much I can get done while there is silence in the house and nobody that wants to be held or needs something. At least I have gotten a few things accomplished!
